45 Couples Who Met and Fell in Love on Set

When we hear of celebs meeting and pairing up on the set of a TV show or a film, we can’t help but fantasize about finding our soul mate while on the job. Hollywood hookups are legendary, and we can’t get enough juicy gossip on couples that are canoodling on the set. We question if the chemistry we see on the screen is translated off camera. We hope that those that were in strong and steady relationships before meeting their co-stars will stay faithful and loyal to their significant other. But just looking at what happened between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt when they met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, makes us less optimistic. Jennifer Aniston and Pitt were ‘the’ couple of the decade, and we were sure they were going to go the distance. Sadly, we know how that ended. And, then there are couples like Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes who met on the set of their film in 2012, and they’ve been together ever since.

Let’s check out the couples that made our list and who see who had their “happily ever after” and who parted ways once the cameras stopped filming. Some celebs you’ll find are mentioned several times in this piece, which have us questioning their ability to fully commit to a long-term relationship.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

While Brad and Jen split in 2005, the world is still divided between ‘Team Jen’ and ‘Team Angelina.’ Whoever caught Pitt and Jolie on screen in the 2005 film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,’ knew their chemistry was off the charts. No one was shocked when these two hooked up IRL. We’re not taking sides as to why Jolie and Pitt split, we’ll leave that to their fans.

Team Aniston supporters were happy when this duo split, but we prefer to stay objective. We are hoping these uber-attractive actors and philanthropists are able to put their differences aside and co-parent their brood in a productive manner. And, oh yeah, let’s be honest, some of us are still hoping Jen and Brad find their way back to each other. We can always dream, right?

Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia

Die-hard fans of “The Gilmore Girls” remember the on-screen chemistry between Bledel and Ventimiglia. No one was surprised when this couple started dating off-screen as well. These two lasted longer than their TV counterparts, Rory and Jess, and dated four years before splitting. Many fans were devastated when the couple separated in 2006.

We all know that their careers didn’t suffer even though they didn’t ride off into the sunset together. Alexis went on to marry another co-star, Vincent Kartheiser. Milo is tugging at our heartstrings every week as the dad we all wish we had, in the hit series ‘This is Us.’ Ventimiglia has been dating Kelly Egarian since 2017.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser

Well, we know that Alexis and Milo didn’t make it very far. But, we’re happy to say that Bledel’s next on-screen romance was the one that was meant to stick. Alexis and Vincent met on the set of the smash hit ‘Mad Men,’ where they played a pair cheating on their spouses.

The on-screen romance lasted only three episodes and ended badly for Bledel’s character. Thankfully, the real-life couple had a much happier ending. They began dating in 2012, soon after meeting on the set. They were engaged by 2013 and wed in 2014. They have since welcomed a son and are still active in their careers and pretty much keep out of the public eye.

Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia

Milo and Hayden met on the set of the 2006 series ‘Heroes,’ which lasted till 2010. Sadly the show lasted longer than their romance. On-screen their characters had a platonic friendship, but in real life, these two took it to the next level. Panettiere credits the break-up to their 12 years age gap. She was 19 and he was 31 when they starting dating.

The two viewed life differently, which is common with the age difference. All they appeared to have in common at the time was working on the same set. When they publicly broke up, Milo was quick to swear off dating co-stars in the future. Only time will tell if he’s following that rule.

Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody

Brody and Bilson met and fell for each other on the set of the teen series “The O.C.”  The two played on-screen couple Seth and Summer and when they hooked up in real life, fans were rooting for them from the start. The two dated from 2003 to 2006 before splitting up.

No real reason for the breakup, other than the standard ‘we grew apart’ excuse, that was fed to the media by their publicists. Bilson moved on and found love with actor Hayden Christensen. The two were married in 2007, but they too split and divorced in 2017. Bilson jokes that 14 years after her split from Brody, she’s still questioned about it and finds herself apologizing to her fans, who took the split harder than they did.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux

We hear you and we feel the same. We all want Jen to find her soul mate and live happily ever after. Some of us are still hoping she and former hubby Brad Pitt find their way back to each other and from rumors in the tabloids, we just might get our wish.  But let’s talk about Aniston and Theroux, who met on the set of the 2007 flick ‘Tropic Thunder.’

The inner romantic in all of us was hoping this one would last, but sadly we know it didn’t. They dated for eight years before tying the knot in 2015 and divorced in 2017. Rumors surrounding the couple pointed to each having full, yet separate lives. With Theroux in NYC and Jennifer working steadily in LA, it was hard to make the marriage work. The couple had an amicable split and speak fondly of the other.

Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender

This duo met on the set of ‘The Light Between the Ocean,’ which began filming in 2014. Sparks flew relatively quickly for Vikander and Fassbender. We’re guessing that the shooting location of Australia and New Zealand aided in this couple getting together.

The two kept their romance private and only went public in 2016 when they showed up together at The Golden Globes. Both were nominated at the awards ceremony and the photogs loved snapping the couple. The acclaimed actors, both received Academy Award nominations and quickly set up house together. They secretly married in 2017 in Spain.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer

Paquin and Moyer met on the set of the popular vampire series ‘True Blood.’ The two clicked from the start and knew they were destined to spend their lives together, which we hear for vampires, can be for a long time. Moyer is accepting and okay with Paquin being bi-sexual and being married since 2010 seems to confirm his claim.

The couple admitted to being fine with watching themselves on screen with other love interests and claim it brings them closer together. In 2012 the two welcomed twins, Charlie and Poppy, and although they were born prematurely, all are well and happy.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck

We’re still holding out hope for this couple, once known as ‘Bennifer’ to get back together, although it doesn’t seem likely. The two first met in 2000 on the set of the historical film ‘Pearl Harbor,’ but they didn’t get together till a couple of years later. For those who can recall there was another ‘Bennifer,’ but this time it was Jennifer Lopez. Affleck and Garner were again on the same film in 2002 when they were paired up in “Daredevil.’ In 2002 Affleck proposed to then-girlfriend JLo and Garner waited patiently till he came to his senses.

In 2003 Garner split from then-husband Scott Foley, which paved the way for Garner and Affleck. The two married in 2015. While they didn’t have their storybook ending, they remain close and are committed to co-parenting their three children together. Affleck is quick to take the blame for the split and publicly admitted that his greatest regret was not working at making their marriage work.

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley

This couple was steamy both off and on-screen, during their run on the hit series ‘Gossip Girl.’ Initially, the two kept their romance a secret and were quick to deny they were seeing each other. “Gossip Girl” ran from 2007 to 2012, but the two IRL only lasted 3 years, breaking up in 2010. They were wary of their romance becoming public for fear it would affect their careers, even though they were pushed together by fans and the media.

Many rumors surrounded their split, from Blake wanting lots of kids, to Badgley preferring to stay out of the limelight and focus on his craft. Both have moved on with their lives. Lively is now happily married to Ryan Reynolds and Badgley married actress Domino Kirke in 2017.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

When looking at the obvious adoration and love between these two, it’s hard to imagine they were in major relationships before getting together. Yet again, Blake hooked up with her co-star, this time with Reynolds on the set of the 2010 film ‘Green Lantern.’ The two began dating in 2011 and married in 2012.

Reynolds is 11 years older than Blake, but the two seem pretty much in sync and we adore seeing this couple grace the red carpet. This duo got together around the time Ryan was coming off his divorce from actress Scarlett Johansson. It seems like Blake and Ryan were meant to be together because watching these two together brings a smile to even the most cynical observer. The couple also shares three children.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

Kunis and Kutcher initially met on the sitcom ‘That 70s Show’ which ran from 1998 to 2006. The onscreen couple didn’t become a real-life couple till 2012 when Kutcher was officially separated from then-wife Demi Moore. The two dated and married in 2015 and have since welcomed two children.

They are happily sharing their lives with us on their social media and we love following their marriage and family moments on Instagram. Tabloids have been quick to report on problems in the marriage, but the couple has dispelled the rumors using their social media platforms, usually appearing together, making jokes about reports that their marriage is doomed.

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig were friends longs before co-starring in the 2011 film ‘Dream House.’ Sparks between the two only flew when they began working together on the film, portraying a married couple. The two first met at an industry event in 1994. Both were in serious relationships during their filming together, while Weisz claims her relationship was ending.

The two grew closer during the filming and within six short months, the two secretly got married in NYC. The couple is extremely private and doesn’t share their relationship with fans or the media, which might explain why these two are going strong.

Annette Bening and Warren Beatty

For those too young to know, Warren Beatty was a serial dater, who dated nearly every A-list celeb in Hollywood, from Cher to Madonna to Jane Fonda. But when he laid eyes on Annette Bening on the set of the 1991 film “Bugsy” he was a goner. Bening was the gal who snagged the 55-year-old eternal bachelor and the two walked down the aisle in 1992.

This was supposed to be just another on-set romance and no one thought they’d make it legal. The two have been happily married and have since welcomed four children. Beatty, now 83, has cut back on acting, but Bening is more active than ever with an impressive roster of roles. Kudos to Bening for making an honest man of Beatty.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy

Actors Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy met on the set of the 2007 film ‘Evening,’ and have been together ever since. For these two the attraction was immediate and they were married in a quiet ceremony in France in 2007. Rumors surrounded them at the start of their relationship.

Danes was just coming off a relationship with actor Billy Crudup but insists she was single and ready to mingle when she got together with Dancy. The couple is committed to weekly date nights, even it means getting all dressed up and staying home for the night. Danes and Dancy share two sons and are still happily together.

Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum

Some of us aren’t aware that Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan had a life before hooking up on set, but we’re here to set the record straight. Before Channing met Tatum he was paired with Bynes in the 2006 teen comedy ‘She’s The Man.’ At the time, Bynes was at the height of her career and is credited with making Tatum a household name.

Channing agrees with Bynes’ claim and was heard to say  “I thank her every day.’ The Disney star fought to have Tatum in the film and the rest is history. While both denied the short-lived romance, the media did catch the couple kissing and publicized the photos during 2006.

Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum

Dewan and Tatum met on the set of the 2006 film ‘Step-Up’ and this romance lasted much longer than his previous fling with Amanda Bynes. Married in 2009, the couple divorced in 2010 and share a child together. Fans and media were shocked when the two announced their split.

Before the sad news, Jenna and Tatum were the ‘it’ couple, happily starting a family and sharing their lives in public, to their fans’ delight. No one saw the marriage in trouble or ending anytime soon. Dewan was quoted as being gutted at the split and couldn’t blame it on any single event, other than two people growing apart.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

This due dated from 2005 to 2007. The romance started on the 2004 hit ‘The Notebook.’ When these two became an item in real life fans couldn’t get enough. Although trying to translate their on-screen chemistry away from the cameras proved less successful. The on-screen love story is a must-see for true romantics, but sadly the actors didn’t have a fairytale ending, no matter how hard they tried.

When the couple began working together on the film, they didn’t get along at first. They dated for two years but didn’t stand the test of time and the break up was amicable. We all know that Gosling eventually found his soulmate in Eva Mendes and McAdams found love with screenwriter Jamie Linden.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes

Gosling and Mendes met on the set of the 2012 film ‘The Place Beyond the Pines.’ While their private relationship has been dissected for years, we love how these two stays out of the public eye. They rarely speak about the other in interviews, which may be a secret to their long-lasting relationship.

The couple shares two young daughters and while they’re not married as of yet, the two appear stronger and more committed than ever. They are rarely photographed together and only appeared on the red carpet once, at the premiere of their film.  Considering so little is written about this duo, it’s telling that they’re considered one of Hollywood’s more stable couples.

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner

The two Taylors met in the summer of 2009, on the set of the romantic comedy ‘Valentine’s Day,’ and by the fall rumors of them seeing each other were quick to follow. The duo was at the top of their careers at the time and teens couldn’t get enough of them.

They dated a few short months and called it quits before their movie was even done filming. The singer, true to her pattern, was quick to release the song ‘Back to December,’ which details the couple’s brief relationship.  Lautner was quick to admit the song had been written about him and he harbored only good feelings towards Swift and remembered their time together fondly.

Lily Collins and Taylor Lautner

Lautner’s next relationship, after breaking up with Taylor Swift, also developed on the set of a film. This time he was paired with Lily Collins in the 2011 film  ‘Abduction.’  The two only dated a few months and once filming was done, so was the short-lived romance.

Lautner catapulted to mega-star status after appearing in the ‘Twilight’ films and Collins was an up and coming actress. Both enjoyed their brief time together as a couple. Neither was too devastated over the break-up and were soon seen dating others.

Tyra Banks and Will Smith

This couple met on the set of Smith’s comedy series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’ They started out as friends, but that quickly turned into more. Super-model Banks was hired to guest star on the show, and soon enough, the twosome was dating. They dated from 1993 to 1994.

We all know that Smith ended up meeting and marrying Jada Pinkett-Smith and the two have a marriage many try to emulate or at least did until rumors about the married duo two began surfacing in 2020. Banks and Smith broke up amicably and remained friends.

Rob Pattinson and Kirstin Stewart

‘Twilight’ fans couldn’t get enough of the handsome vampire and the mortal girl. They met on the set of the 2008 ‘Twilight’ and much like their characters, once they laid eyes on each other, they were hooked. The twosome was quickly dubbed ‘Robsten’. The couple starred in all five ‘Twilight’ films and the hysteria around them was off the charts. No one was surprised when rumors of marriage were surrounding the two.

The two had a rocky relationship from the start. Some blame the media that followed them 24/7 for them not working out. However, it’s safe to say that Kristin admitting to cheating on Rob, in 2012, with director Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time, was the catalyst for their breakup. Kristin officially apologized for stepping out on Rob, and Robsten called it quits soon after.

Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves

Although both stars first appeared in a film in 1997 together, the sparks only flew for these two when they co-starred in 2001 “Sweet November.” The duo kept their short romance to themselves. During the filming, the two were spotted outside a restaurant, waiting for their car and were snapped being all touchy-feely with each other.

When pix of them kissing were splashed all over the tabloids, they still said nothing. It looks like when filming for the movie was completed, so was the romance, and each moved on. Charlize was set to star in the 2001 film ‘Trapped’ alongside Stuart Townsend, and romance was again in the air. Only this time, the love lasted nearly 10 years. Reeves hit mega-star status with the ‘Matrix’ films but hasn’t found a wife, although he’s dated extensively. He’s courted Sandra Bullock, Sophia Coppolla, and many others.

Lauren Graham and Peter Krause

These two first met on the comedy series ‘Caroline in the City,’ in 1995, but only became an item in 2010, when playing brother and sister in the drama series ‘Parenthood.’ The couple is very private and prefers to keep their romance to themselves.

Image courtesy of metro.co.uk and nbc.com

Graham admits that the secret to their relationship is that they started as friends first. During the filming of the series, cast members noticed the chemistry between the two, but no one was dishing if they were dating or not. Only after the series ended did the two admit to co-mingling

Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp

These two laid eyes on each other in 1989 before working together, and there was an immediate attraction, although they didn’t act on it. Ryder and Depp began working together on the 1990 hit ‘Edward Scissorhands,’ and quickly became the ‘it’ couple of the 90s. Only 17 when she started to date the up and coming super-star, he was nine years older. They were engaged by 1990 and had broken up in 1993.

Both remained in the spotlight throughout their careers, but for different reasons. Ryder was caught shoplifting in a clothing store in 2001, and Depp’s divorce from wife Amber Heard has been in the headlines recently. Although Ryder and Depp broke up years ago, they remain close and are quick to support each other. Ryder has been vocal about defending Depp and the spousal abuse allegations surrounding his relationship with Heard.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

The former Disney star and the Australian actor first met while filming the 2009 film, ‘The Last Song.’ Sparks flew the moment they laid eyes on each other, and pix of them making out during the shoot were quick to follow. They went public with their undying love for each other right away. This couple gave the media plenty to write about. Their romance was rocky from the start.

Engagement rumors swirled around them soon after their meeting, and by 2012 they made it official on social media. The duo planned and postponed their big day several times. They officially split in 2015 with rumors of cheating in the air. In 2016 they were back on and wed in 2018 and were divorced by 2020. The majority of this relationship was posted on Twitter and Instagram and Cyrus might have shared a little too much.

Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman

Mullally and Offerman both hail from Chicago, but their paths didn’t cross till 2000 when both appeared in the play “The Berlin Circle” which was happening in Los Angeles. It wasn’t love at first sight for Nick, who felt intimidated by Megan, and he kept his distance. Megan is 12 years Nick’s senior and didn’t think they stood a chance.

The two did work out in the end and even surprised their friends when they invited everyone to what they thought was an Emmy’s party in 2003 and then proceeded to get married. The duo continues to work together on ‘Parks and Recreation.’  We’re glad Megan didn’t let the slight age difference come between these two getting together.

Megan Fox and Shia LeBeouf

These two met on the set of the 2007 film ‘The Transformers,’ and sparks between the two ignited quickly. There was a problem though, Fox was engaged to actor Brian Austin Green and the media had a field day. LeBeouf claims the attraction was instant and being together for six months shooting a film, feelings are magnified and had he known the actress was engaged, he’d have backed off.

While both denied romance rumors at the time, in 2011, Shia confirmed years later in an interview the two were involved while shooting the film. The romance was short-lived, Fox married Austin-Green in 2010 and had 3 children. The couple is now separate and Fox is reportedly dating Machine Gun Kelly.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen

These two photogenic and talented actors met on in 2007 on the set of sci-fi film ‘Jumper.’ The characters are in love in the film, so it’s only natural that it would translate off-camera as well. The couple was engaged by 2008 but decided to take a breather in 2010, due to their geo-location. He was living in Canada while Bilson called L.A. home.

Distance couldn’t keep these two apart, and soon enough, they welcomed a daughter together. Although they never married, they were together for 10 years before splitting. While the two never commented on their break-up, sources say living so far apart was a major factor. They are co-parenting and working together to raise their daughter.

Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki

This pair kept their romance under wraps for two years. The co-stars met on the hit series ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and were a couple from 2007-2009. When the news did finally come out in 2010, it was Cuoco herself who admitted the two were romantically involved.

The couple was adamant about keeping their relationship a secret and even their co-workers were kept in the dark. While their onscreen characters fell in love and got married, the same can’t be said for the duo in real life. They both look back on their time together with fondness and respect for the other.

Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson

Joey and Pacey fans couldn’t get enough of their romance on ‘Dawson’s Creek.’ The two were also an item in real life, during the early run of the hit series.  It’s been 15 years since the show ended and fans still remember the chemistry between Holmes and Jackson, whether on-screen or off. The two weren’t secretive when they were dating and paps catching pix of them on their date nights only helped ratings.

The duo only dated a couple of years and moved on. We are all aware that Holmes married acclaimed actor Tom Cruise. Jackson wasn’t licking his wounds either and began dating Diane Kruger. The two have remained friends and still speak. After Holmes split with Cruise, she was linked to Jamie Foxx, although the romance fizzled. Jackson moved on to marry Jodie Turner-Smith an actress and model and they welcomed their first child in 2020.

Freida Pinto and Dev Patel

These two met in 2007 on the set of the Oscar-winning hit “Slumdog Millionaire.’ The onscreen couple became a real-life couple rather quickly. Patel was quoted as saying Pinto was his ‘soulmate.’ The couple dated for six years before going their separate ways.

Pinto appears to be the reason for the split, citing she was going through a mid-life crisis at the young age of 28. In late 2019 Pinto was linked to Cory Tran and rumors of engagements swirled the twosome. Patel is currently dating another co-star, Tilda Cobham-Hervey. Both appeared in “Hotel Mumbai” and are keeping their relationship out of the public eye.

Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper

Seyfried and Cooper met in 2007 while filming the musical ‘Mama Mia.’ They played loved interests in the film and were an official couple till 2011. No reason was given for their split. When the duo was recast to reprise their roles as a married couple in the 2018 sequel ‘Mama Mia, Here We Go Again, ‘ sparks didn’t fly a second time.

The two remained friends after the split, which must’ve helped when they had to film the sequel. Cooper admits it was a little awkward, but both have since moved on. Seyfried is now married to actor Thomas Sadoski and they have a child together. Cooper meanwhile has been linked to actress Gemma Chan and the two are reportedly serious.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas

Talk about a fairy tale ending. These two met on the set of the series ‘Once Upon A Time,’ portraying Snow White and Prince Charming. Seriously, it doesn’t get any more perfect than these two. The couple were initially hesitant about dating and felt that on set romances had no chance of success. But sparks were quick to fly for this adorable couple.

They hooked up in 2011 and married in 2014 and have welcomed two sons into their lives. It’s heartwarming to see these two fawn over each other when out and about. Their mutual admiration and respect for each other is a joy to witness and we’re hoping this couple continues to live happily ever after.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder

These two met on the hit series ‘Vampire Diaries,’ and wasted no time in getting together in real life. At first, the couple tried to keep their romance under wraps, but it didn’t take long before everyone knew the two were dating. The two were spotted in Paris together in 2012, while both were still denying being a couple.

They dated from 2010 to 2013 and their relationship ended before the series did. Working together after splitting must have been uncomfortable, but it didn’t show on the screen. While they were a couple, they got a cat together which Nina kept after they split.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

These two met on the teen horror flick ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’ In 1996, but only began dating a few years later. The couple went public in 2000 and the media followed them every step of the way until they tied the knot in 2002. Initially, the two tried to keep their relationship on the down-low.

Once they were sure of their feelings for each other, they were quick to share it with their fans. The two have been happily married for 18 years, raising their two children. They appear to be one of Hollywood’s stronger couples.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

This hot and heavy couple met on the set of the soap opera “All My Children,’ back in 1995. Consuelos was auditioning for a role in the long-running daytime drama and the said audition was with Ripa, who was a veteran of the show. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and Mark got the role and his soulmate as well.

They started dating soon after he was hired and eloped in Las Vegas the following year. Together nearly 25 years, and 3 kids later, this couple is cozier than ever. The two aren’t shy about sharing their attraction for each other. Kelly, much to the shock and embarrassment of her kids, shares far too many private moments of their personal lives, when dishing on her hit morning talk-show ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan.’

Lea Michele and Cory Monteith

These two came together in 2009 when they were cast in the hit musical series “Glee.” Lea and Cory quickly became BFFs and love wasn’t far off. Within two years, they became official.  Fans were rooting for the onscreen couple as much as they were for the duo in real life. Once they were outed as a couple, they were quick to gush over one another the media and we couldn’t get enough.

Sadly this romance has a tragic ending. Monteith struggled with substance addiction and was in and out of treatment centers. The actor overdosed on July 13, 2013, at the age of 31. The couple was dating for over a year when news of Monteith’s death hit the airwaves. Every year on the anniversary of his death, Michele honors his memory in the media. Michele has moved on and in 2019 she married Zach Reich the couple is expecting their first child.

Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick

Another duo to emerge from “Gossip Girl’ are Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick. The on-again-off-again couple dated for around 4 years before splitting for good in 2012. In 2017 Westwick was accused of sexual assault by two women, which he denied.

Quick to come to Westwick’s defense was Szohr, who voiced her support in the media. In 2018 the charges against Westwick were dropped. Westwick is currently dating model Tamara Francesconi. Szohr has been rumored to be dating director Len Wiseman, Kate Beckinsale’s ex.

Emma Roberts and Alex Pettyfer

Emma Roberts and Alex Pettyfer met on the set of the 2008 film ‘Wild Child.’  The pair dated for about a year before the hot and heavy romance fizzled out. But, they were still together when Pettyfer had Robert’s initials tattooed in the shape of inter-locking hearts on his wrist.

Roberts and Pettyfer made a joint statement regarding their split and vowed to remain friends. We’re not judging here, but tattooing someone’s name or initials on our beings has been known to doom many relationships and this case proves that theory.

Linda Cardellini and Jason Segel

Cardellini and Segel met in 1999 on the show “Freaks and Geeks,” which lasted only one season. Their relationship lasted longer than the Judd Apatow series and they were an item for either two or six years, depending on which source you choose to believe. While there wasn’t much news surrounding the couple, their breakup did make it into Segel’s movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

In the 2011 pic, Segel’s character goes through a breakup that mirrors what happened between him and Cardellini. Segel’s character was nude when his girlfriend comes over to break up. This scene was taken from the actor’s personal experience with Cardellini and is a memorable scene in the film.  Segel is single and dating, while Cardinelli is engaged to childhood sweetheart Steven Rodriguez.

Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton

The ‘Stranger Things,’ co-stars wanted to see if they could translate their on-screen chemistry IRL and guess what, they could. These two were darlings of social media and the media was loving this couple. They weren’t quick to come forward with their relationship and denied the rumors when asked.

In 2017 they made their first appearance on the red carpet, laying all rumors and speculation to rest. The two are still together and continue to praise the other when posting pix on Instagram and Twitter. They are currently living together in NYC and are spotted together regularly.

Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams

The hit series ‘The Brady Bunch’ ran for five seasons in the 60s and 70s and we all yearned to be part of this ‘perfect’ family. Little did we know that throughout filming all the ‘siblings’ gave romance a shot. The two eldest siblings, Barry Williams aka ‘Greg’ and younger sis ‘Marcia,’ played by Maureen McCormick hooked up when in Hawaii while filming the series.

While the two admit to making out during the Hawaiian shoot, the romance didn’t last long. McCormick couldn’t get over them playing brother and sister onscreen and it was too weird for her. Williams’ father hoped the romance would turn into something more serious, but both were too young and it ended pretty quickly. Both remain good friends and have continued acting and performing.

Tori Spelling and Brian Austin-Green

Most of us remember the love story between Donna and David, which kept us hooked in the 90s on the hit series ‘Beverly Hills, 90201.’ We all rooted for them to find their way back after multiple breaks ups and cried when they finally got married on the series finale in 2000. While it was never made official, Tori and Brian were rumored to have dated during the 10 year run of the series.

Spelling eventually spilled the beans in 2015, while appearing on ‘Celebrity Lie Detector.’ She admitted the couple had a short relationship and the machine proved she wasn’t lying. The real-life couple didn’t have the storybook ending that Donna and David did. The two remain close friends and have appeared together in the series reboot ‘BH90120’ where their previous hookup was hinted at.
